ANGELICA COUTINHO, Superintendent of Economic Development at ANCINE (National Cinema Agency)
Superintendent of Economic Development at ANCINE, the National Cinema Agency, where she was admitted by public contest in 2011. Journalist with a Masters and PhD degrees in Literature with research on the narrative structure of fiction in film and TV. She directed graduation courses in journalism and film and created one of the first postgraduate courses in script in Brazil, currently at the Hélio Alonso Faculty in Rio de Janeiro, where she also coordinates the MBA in Audiovisual Production. She has worked for 26 years on television as a reporter, editor and screenwriter. She created two TV series projects – “Love is in the Air” and “Dance Lovers Company” – selected by Wise Entertainment, studio based in LA, for ABC / US trading. She directed the program SHORT STATION for an University Channel in Brazil, the short film “Fragile affections”, which she has also scripted, and the webseries “It hurts, that’s why I forget.”
GILSON PACKER, MANAGER / CINESESC SP
Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of São Paulo, he holds a specialization in Culture Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (Brazil – São Paulo – SP) and the Cultural Policy Observatory (Grenoble – France). Employee of the Social Service of Commerce – SESC, has worked in the area of the diffusion of the visual arts and cinema. He is currently appointed General Manager of the CineSESC unit, an important cultural center dedicated to cinema, where he increased the possibilities of universal accessibility for the general public. He directs two important festivals: SESC Best Films Festival and the Retrospective of Brazilian Cinema. He is currently in the process of editing his first documentary, which is about a two-decade inventory of LGBT activism in the city of São Paulo.
JORANE CASTRO, SCREENWRITER AND DIRECTOR
Jorane Castro, screenwriter and director, was born in Belém (Brazil). She graduated in Cinema from the University of Paris 8 (France) and studied Screenplay at EICTV (Cuba). Since then, she has been filming in the Amazon. She has directed more than 20 films, including documentaries and fiction, which has stood out in the international scene at festivals such as the Directors’ Fortnight (Cannes, France, 2001), Director’s Forthnight MoMA (New York, USA, 2007), Marrakech International Film Festival Morocco 2001), the Brazilian Film Festival of Paris (France 2008), among others. She is currently developing the documentaries “Mestre Cupijó e su Ritmo” and “Terruá Pará”, and prepares her next feature “THE HERITAGE”, which will be shot in 2019.
KARINE TELES, ACTRESS AND SCREENWRITER
Karine Teles is a screenwriter and actress with over 25 years of experience, having played in over 30 shows. Known for the feature films “The Second Mother” (2015) by Anna Muylaert (nominated for best supporting actress in the National Film Grand Prize), Riscado (2010), which she co-edited with Gustavo Pizzi and received the best actress and best screenplay in Gramado and best actress in the Rio International Film Festival, among others. Her latest film,“Fala Comigo, won the awards for best film and best actress for Karine in 2016 at the Rio International Film Festival. Karine also wrote the “Loveling”which is scheduled to be screened at the Brazilian Film Festivals of Montreal and Toronto next October and November. Her short film “Optimism” premiered at the Festival Mix Brazil and is part of the programming of Canal Brasil (independent Brazilian channel) and its next features to be shot are Gilda (in production) and Projeto sem Nome (in production). In the Theater he has been in more than 30 shows having 25 years of career.
LEONARDO RIBEIRO, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/ TV ZERO
Leo Ribeiro is executive producer and works in the development and production of feature films and tv series. Graduated in social communication with specialization in executive production at EICTV-Cuba and in Marketing and Distribution at ESCAC, Barcelona. Nowadays is the executive producer at TvZERO CINEMA, is a faculty member of the Darcy Ribeiro Film School since 2015 and has also teaches production skills in others audiovisual schools in Rio, such as AIC/RJ (International Cinema Academy of Rio de Janeiro) and School of Series.

MARIZA LEÃO, CEO/ MORENA FILMES
Mariza Leão graduated in journalism and since then began her career in film production with director Sergio Rezende. She has produced more than 7 TV series and 30 feature films, among them great box-office hits that sold more than 15 million tickets in Brazil, such as the franchise “Upside Down 1 e 2” (2010 and 2012) by Roberto Santucci; “My Past Me Condemns 1 and 2” (2013/2015), by Julia Rezende, “Un Almost Perfect Uncle” (2017) by Pedro Antonio and “My Name is not Johnny” (2008) by Mauro Lima. She produced films of various genres, such as the documentary feature “The Patient, the Tancredo Neves case (2018) and “Life is a bitch”(2018).
NIV FICHMAN, FOUNDING PARTNER/ RHOMBUS MEDIA
Niv Fichman is one of the founding partners of Rhombus Media in Toronto. The company’s 38-year history has yielded a rich compilation of feature films, documentaries, performing art films and series television. Niv’s most recent projects include: Patricia Rozema’s INTO THE FOREST, Paul Gross’s HYENA ROAD, Stephen Dunn’s first feature, CLOSET MONSTER which came away with the award for Best Canadian Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016. Niv is also known for such films as Denis Villeneuve’s ENEMY (2013) and Fernando Meirelles’ adaptation of Nobel Laureate Jose Saramago’s BLINDNESS (2008), which opened the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Niv’s latest feature film was THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS, which premiered late in 2017.
TUINHO SCHWARTZ, CEO / FOCUS FILMS
Working since 1980, he has been in more than 300 audiovisual projects, among them 50 feature films. Worked with directors such as John Boorman and Tony Scott and actors like Dennis Hopper and Gérard Depardieu. He was executive producer of films like BOSSA NOVA, with Amy Irving, and FOUR DAYS IN SEPTAMBER, with Alan Arkin, by Bruno Barreto and OSS 117, RIO NE RÈPOND PLUS, by Michel Hazanavicius, with Jean Dujardin. Producer of the award-winning documentary CONDOR, by Roberto Mader; recently produced the movie “COME ON, MOM!”, based on the book by Thalita Rebouças, that made 3 million moviegoers in Brazil in 2018.
