The film charts the last five years in the life of Brazilian writer, politician and revolutionary Carlos Marighella (1911–1969), who was assassinated by the military dictatorship in 1969. Adaptation of the book "Marighella - The Guerrilla Who Burned the World", by Mario Magalhães. Actor Wagner Moura debuts as a director.
