Clara Estrela is a documentary about Clara Nunes, a singer who elegantly synthesizes the Brazilian cultural melting pot, mix-raced, connective and syncretic. The film narrates, in the first person, through interviews in several TV and radio programs, the trajectory of the singer who conquered Brazil and several other countries. In addition to the meticulous work of audiovisual research, the documentary offers the public the opportunity to listen to print media interviews through the narration of actress Dira Paes. The testimonies are intersected by dreamlike images that translate Clara's mystical universe, its roots and the joy of living so striking in her songs. The film brings to the viewer a chance to recall the artist's successes and trajectory and the possibility of knowing a little more about a woman who, even after more than thirty years since her death, remains in a prominent place in the history of Brazilian popular music.
